Paris is a great fit for a typical “Northern European” campaign, including modules like The Temple of Elemental Evil, Keep on the Borderlands, or The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh. It has a temperate climate with mild winters and warm summers. Precipitation is relatively constant year-round, and some snow falls during the winter. The summers are generally pleasant but experience occasional heat waves.

Optional rules: Each year has a 1-in-5 chance of a heat wave lasting 2d3 days, during which the temperature is increased by one band. This can be placed randomly during the summer (d100, starting after the first 10 days is appropriate).
