Moscow
DfbWarm-summer continental
Moscow’s intense winter is a dramatic example of weather effects on history: the winter of 1812 winter devastated Napoleon’s army during his retreat from the city, precipitating his defeat in Europe. There are two primary seasons, the cold winter and a mild summer, with rapid, and variable, transitions between the two. Summer heat waves occur occasionally.
Optional rules: 1-in-4 chance each summer of a 2d4 day heat wave, increasing all temperature bands by one. This should be placed randomly during the summer (d100, counting from 10 days after the onset of summer is appropriate).
